- Summary
- Lucy Clairmont's childhood fascination with stories of the high seas led her to become a marine archaeologist. When tragedy strikes, Dashel, an American forensic astronomer with knowledge of the stars, seeks to help her unearth the truth behind the puzzle Lucy discovered in her family home. When the pair journey to an old estate on the East Sussex coast to find answers, the search leads them to a long-hidden tale: Two hundred years earlier, a boy and a girl who spend their days playing in a secret sea cave, while the privileged young son of the estate looked on, wishing to join. Their story of love, betrayal, sacrifice, and redemption has been held secret by the passage of time
